VIJAY NANHOE

Head Trainer, Coach, Sensei

Vijay Nanhoe is the dynamic leader of the Kyokushin Fight Academy and has years of experience in competitive sports. Born and raised in Spijkenisse, he began competitive swimming at the age of five. Later, he focused solely on Full-Contact Karate, winning numerous competitions at a young age and developing a growing passion for the discipline. Vijay has also trained in other martial arts, such as boxing, Tae Kwon Do, Judo, and Brazilian Jiu Jutsu, to further develop his skills in these disciplines.

But Vijay is more than just a top trainer. He's also a passionate student and is currently studying Bio-Pharmaceutical Sciences at Leiden University, hoping to one day provide medical care for incurable diseases and conditions. He's an active elite athlete, a representative of elite athletes in the municipality of Nissewaard, a member of the Youth Panel, and the municipal steering committee. Vijay has won numerous prestigious awards in Full-Contact Karate and other martial arts, such as Champion All Japan Open (Miyazaki, Japan, 2024), Vice-World Champion (Astana, Kazakhstan, 2018), European Champion Kyokushin Karate (Papendal, the Netherlands, 2016), European Champion Kyokushin Karate (Świnoujście, Poland, 2017), European Champion Kyokushin Karate (Kaliningrad, Russia, 2018), 6x National Champion Kyokushin Karate, Campeón de España (Zaragoza, Spain, 2019), Open Belgium Champion (Averbode, Belgium) and Champion Kawarmala Tournament Tae Kwon Do (Best, the Netherlands, 2016).

Vijay wants to activate, motivate, and encourage people to work on their health through the Kyokushin Fight Academy. He is a true inspiration to everyone who knows him and is always ready to help people pursue their dreams. Vijay has also received several awards for his achievements and contributions to the community. For example, he was awarded the Youth Ribbon by the Municipality of Nissewaard, was named Boxer of the Year, received the Quentin L. Dietz Trophy, and was named Talent of the Year in the Municipality of Nissewaard. Vijay is a versatile individual who uses his talents to help both himself and others grow and succeed.
