FAQ
HOW DOES A TRIAL LESSON WORK?
You can attend a trial lesson wearing sportswear and barefoot. You'll participate in a full karate class with other karate students. After the trial lesson, you'll receive some information and have the opportunity to ask any questions you may have. A trial lesson with us is free and without obligation.
HOW DO I REGISTER FOR A TRIAL CLASS?
You can do this by filling out the contact form. We will then send you a message with details about the training day and time.
WHEN CAN I TAKE AN EXAM?
The Karate School organizes Kyu-level exams twice a year. Before the exam, the instructor(s) send out invitations to those who are ready. Others are advised to continue training for the next exam.
DO YOU ALSO PARTICIPATE IN COMPETITIONS?
Not everyone wants to participate in competitions. There's no obligation. For students who do enjoy a competitive challenge, there's room for it. We participate in competitions at the regional, national, and international levels.
HOW OLD DO YOU HAVE TO BE TO START KARATE?
In our dojo, we have a minimum age of 4 years. If your child is younger than this but is actively participating in training, we can consider letting them join us (in consultation with the trainer).
DO I NEED BANDAGES AND BOXING GLOVES FOR BOXING?
This isn't required for a trial lesson. If you choose to box more often, we do recommend purchasing hand wraps and boxing gloves. These protect and support your hands and wrists while boxing.
