Vijay Nanhoe
Founder • Head Instructor • National Coach Team NL
Vijay Nanhoe is the founder and head of the Kyokushin Fight Academy and the driving force behind the organization's sporting, technical, and strategic vision. With a strong focus on discipline, elite sport, and personal development, he has built the dojo into one of the most successful and fastest-growing Kyokushin organizations in the Netherlands.
Under his leadership, Team KFA developed into the number 1 dojo in the Netherlands during the 2026 National Championships, where the organization managed to win no fewer than 10 Dutch titles. Over the years, he has guided and developed both recreational athletes and national and international champions.
In addition to his role as Head Instructor within KFA, Vijay is active as the national coach of Team NL and guides fighters at the European and world levels. His international experience in Kyokushin karate took him to Japan, among other places, where he won the All Japan Open in the adult open weight class and successfully passed his 3rd degree black belt exam under the international board of the Sonoda organization.
His vision is central to the Kyokushin Fight Academy: developing the strongest karatekas in the world — not only as fighters, but also as leaders, role models, and representatives of the values of Kyokushin karate.

Koeskoemar Nanhoe
Match Coordination • KFA Fighter Team Management
Koeskoemar Nanhoe plays an important role within the daily management of the Kyokushin Fight Academy and is responsible for the guidance, structure, and development of the competition team. With years of experience in Kyokushin karate, he plays a central role in preparing fighters for national and international competitions.
Within Team KFA, he is known for his discipline, commitment, and strong focus on mentality and perseverance. During the intensive competition training sessions on weekends, he works closely with the competitors on fitness, technique, fighting insight, and developing a strong champion's mentality. His guidance has contributed to the development of multiple national champions and international podium fighters within the dojo.
In addition to his sporting contribution, Koeskoemar plays an important role in maintaining the strong team culture for which the Kyokushin Fight Academy is known. He is involved in the growth of the organization on a daily basis and actively supports the guidance of both youth and adults within the competitive track.
For his dedication and impact within the sport, Koeskoemar Nanhoe was nominated for the title 'Coach of the Year' within the municipality of Nissewaard — a recognition of his years of commitment to the development of athletes and guiding the next generation of champions.
Vijay Nanhoe
Founder • Head Instructor • National Coach Team NL
Vijay Nanhoe is the founder of the Kyokushin Fight Academy and has been active in the national and international Kyokushin world for many years. As a six-time Dutch champion, three-time European champion, and vice world champion, he represented the Netherlands at various international tournaments. Additionally, he won the All Japan Open in Japan in the adult open weight class and passed his Sandan (3rd Dan) examination under the supervision of the international board of the Sonoda organization.
Under his leadership, Team KFA grew into the number 1 dojo in the Netherlands during the 2026 National Championships, where the organization managed to win 10 Dutch titles. In addition to his role as head instructor and national coach of Team NL, Vijay places great value on personal development outside of sports. For example, he obtained his bachelor's degree and is currently completing his master's in Bio-Pharmaceutical Sciences at Leiden University, specializing in business.
Within the dojo, he is known for his discipline, commitment, and his vision to develop karatekas not only as fighters, but also as strong and respectful people.


Aradhana Nanhoe
Head of Youth Development • Head Instructor Ladies Only Karate • Toddler Karate Leader
Aradhana Raghoe plays a central role within the daily management of the Kyokushin Fight Academy and is responsible for a large part of youth development within the organization. With her strong combination of discipline, commitment, and personal guidance, she has made a significant contribution to the growth and structure of Team KFA.
Within the dojo, she leads the youth training sessions and guides young karatekas daily in their technical, mental, and personal development. Through her positive approach and strong connection with the youth, she plays an important role in creating a safe, motivating, and professional training environment in which children can develop to their full potential.
In addition, Aradhana was responsible for establishing the Ladies Only Karate program within the Kyokushin Fight Academy — an initiative that introduces women to Kyokushin karate, self-confidence, and physical development in an accessible and powerful way. Under her leadership, this group grew into an important part of the dojo.
In addition to her work as an instructor and organizer, Aradhana is actively involved in events, guidance during competitions, and supporting the general development and future vision of the Kyokushin Fight Academy.

The instruction team at the Kyokushin Fight Academy consists of experienced instructors and black belts who contribute daily to the development of our karatekas. Angel Nanhoe
Youth Instructor • Media Team
Angel Nanhoe is one of the most successful fighters within the Kyokushin Fight Academy and represented Team KFA at various national and international tournaments. With titles at European and international championships, among others, she has developed into an important role model for the new generation of karatekas within the dojo.
In addition to her activities as a competitive fighter, Angel guides youth members during training and supports young karateka in their development within Kyokushin karate. Furthermore, she plays an important role within the KFA media team, where she is responsible for photography, videography, and capturing important moments within Team KFA.

Silvia Popova
Women's Fighter (-60 kg) • 1st DAN
Silvia Popova is one of the senior competitive fighters at the Kyokushin Fight Academy and competes in the -60 kg class. With her international experience, strong mentality, and technical skills, she is a key force within the Team KFA competition squad.
Throughout her career, Silvia achieved impressive results at both national and international levels. For instance, she became Bulgarian National Champion more than 11 times, European Kumite Champion in 2014, and secured podium finishes at various international tournaments, including the Asahi Cup Belgium 2026 and the Dutch Open 2026. Additionally, she represented her country at World Championships and international events within the European Kyokushin circuit.
Within the Kyokushin Fight Academy, Silvia plays an important role as an experienced senior fighter and role model for the new generation of karatekas. Her discipline, perseverance, and professional attitude align perfectly with the elite sports mentality that Team KFA stands for.

Vijay Nanhoe is the founder and head of the Kyokushin Fight Academy and the driving force behind the organization's athletic, technical, and strategic vision. His experience as an international competitive fighter forms a key foundation in his teaching and coaching methods. Having been active at the highest national and international levels for many years, he knows better than anyone what is required to elevate karatekas to a higher level, both technically and mentally.
Under his leadership, Team KFA developed into the number 1 dojo in the Netherlands during the 2026 National Championships, where the organization managed to win no fewer than 10 Dutch titles. Additionally, Vijay is active as the national coach of Team NL and has represented the Netherlands at an international level, including in Japan, where he won the All Japan Open in the adult open weight class and successfully passed his 3rd Dan examination.

Arie Meijer
Junior • Senior Instructor
Arie Meijer is one of the inspiring examples within the Kyokushin Fight Academy and has been practicing karate for over 30 years. With his years of experience, discipline, and dedication to the sport, he forms an important part of the culture and values that Team KFA stands for.
At the age of 66, he successfully achieved his 1st Dan in Kyokushin karate within the International Kyokushinkai Organization Sonoda — a remarkable achievement that has earned him great respect within the dojo and demonstrates that personal development, discipline, and perseverance know no age.
Within Team KFA, Arie actively guides youth members during training and supports young karatekas in their technical and personal development. Through his calm demeanor, positive guidance, and strong mentality, he manages to connect with both youth and adults within the dojo in a unique way.

Ryan Groenewegen
Kata Specialist • 1st DAN
Ryan Groenewegen plays an important role within the Kyokushin Fight Academy as a kata specialist and actively assists during kata lessons at the dojo. With his strong technical foundation, discipline, and eye for detail, he helps karatekas develop precision, control, and an understanding of the traditional aspects of Kyokushin karate.
During training sessions, Ryan assists the head instructors in guiding students and plays an important role in conveying the technical and traditional fundamentals of kata. Due to his involvement, dedication, and passion for karate, he has grown into an indispensable link within the Team KFA instruction team.
Within the dojo, Ryan is known for his dedication, calm demeanor, and willingness to help others grow. We are therefore immensely proud of his development and contribution to the further growth of the Kyokushin Fight Academy.

Ashwarya Nanhoe
Dojo Manager • Youth Instructor
Ashwarya Nanhoe plays an important organizational role within the Kyokushin Fight Academy and, as dojo manager, is responsible for a large part of the daily structure, planning, and coordination within the organization. Through her involvement and overview, she actively contributes to the professional and stable foundation upon which Team KFA is built.
In addition to her work within the dojo, Ashwarya is active in education as an English teacher, where she gains daily experience in guidance, communication, and working with young people. This combination of education and karate makes her a strong and committed mentor in the development of Team KFA's youth groups.
Within the Kyokushin Fight Academy, she guides youth members during training and provides support at events, exams, and activities within the dojo.

Sadhana Raghoe
Youth Instructor • Media Team
Sadhana Raghoe guides youth members within the Kyokushin Fight Academy and also plays an active role within the organization's media team. With her commitment, positive energy, and strong team mentality, she contributes daily to a motivating and safe training environment for the youth within Team KFA.
In addition to her work as an instructor, she assists with photography, videography, and content creation for training sessions, events, and competitions. Through her dedication, she contributes to the professional image and visibility of the Kyokushin Fight Academy, both within the Netherlands and internationally.
Within the dojo, Sadhana is known for her enthusiasm, discipline, and strong commitment to the members. Through her combination of guidance, support, and media work, she fulfills a multifaceted role in the further development and growth of Team KFA.

Carola Zandbergen plays an important supporting role within the Kyokushin Fight Academy in the areas of guidance, care, and safety. With her commitment, caring nature, and strong sense of responsibility, she is always ready to support members, parents, and the team whenever necessary.
Within Team KFA, in addition to training and assisting with training, Carola focuses on First Aid and the well-being of members during training, events, and competitions. Through her calm presence and helpful attitude, she serves as a trusted point of contact within the dojo and actively contributes to a safe and positive environment for both youth and adults.
Her dedication behind the scenes is of great value to the organization and makes her an important part of the strong team culture that the Kyokushin Fight Academy stands for.
Senpai Oscar plays an important role within the Kyokushin Fight Academy and is known for his discipline, dedication, and strong commitment within the dojo. With over 25 years of experience in karate, he has built a strong foundation over the years in the traditional values and mentality of Kyokushin karate.
Within Team KFA, Senpai Oscar actively supports during training sessions and contributes to the guidance and development of karatekas within the dojo. Due to his experience, calm demeanor, and dedication to the sport, he serves as an important role model for both youth and adults within the organization.
In addition to his technical experience, he is known within the dojo for his loyalty, perseverance, and respect for the values of Kyokushin karate. Theo Gootjes
Honorary Member Team KFA
With his years of life experience and exceptional perseverance, Theo Gootjes is one of the most inspiring members of the Kyokushin Fight Academy. Despite his age, Theo continues to challenge himself and is still actively present at training several times a week. His mentality, discipline, and passion for the sport make him a great role model within Team KFA.
Theo has a rich background in martial arts and, over the years, has practiced judo, karate, and various other sports such as running, cycling, and walking. For instance, he earned his 1st Dan in judo in 1972 and walked the Nijmegen Four Days Marches no fewer than 97 times — an achievement that perfectly reflects his immense perseverance.
Within the dojo, Theo is known for his enthusiasm, positive attitude, and love for the traditional values of martial arts. His passion for discipline, mental development, and continuously pushing boundaries aligns perfectly with the philosophy of Kyokushin karate.
A special moment in his karate journey was receiving a special certificate of honor with a unique red-black belt — a symbolic recognition of his dedication, character, and inspiration to the entire dojo. In every training session, Theo demonstrates time and again that age need not be a limitation when passion, discipline, and perseverance are central.

Koeskoemar Nanhoe

Koeskoemar Nanhoe plays an important role within the daily management of the Kyokushin Fight Academy and is known within Team KFA for his no-nonsense mentality, discipline, and intensive training approach. As the person responsible for competition training and coaching the competitive team, he places a strong emphasis on hard work, perseverance, and pushing physical and mental boundaries.
During the competition training sessions on Saturdays and Sundays, Koeskoemar employs a strict and disciplined training method in which fitness, strength, fighting spirit, and character development take center stage. His training sessions demand a great deal from the fighters, with the aim of optimally preparing them for the national and international top level.
Within Team KFA, he is known as a coach who always tries to get the maximum out of his fighters. His direct approach, involvement, and constant focus on development have contributed to the strong competition culture for which the Kyokushin Fight Academy is known.

As the person responsible for youth training, Ladies Only Karate, and toddler karate, Aradhana plays an important role in guiding both young karatekas and adults. Through her strong pedagogical approach, she knows how to challenge members in a positive way and help them bring out the best in themselves—both physically and mentally.
